BlueCheck connector for Claude and other AI apps

Last updated October 13, 2026

The BlueCheck connector lets Claude, or another AI app such as ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code, work in your BlueCheck account when you ask it to. It can look up and update your projects, contacts, boards and cards, calendar and time, read your notifications, files and Mail, and bring things back from Trash. It signs in as you and gets the same access you have in BlueCheck, never more.

What the connector does

BlueCheck is a work app for small teams at app.bluecheck.tech. The connector reaches all of it:

  • projects, with their contacts, rates and estimates, and your contacts;
  • boards with lists and cards, their checklists, comments, members, stars and watches;
  • your calendar, and time tracking with the timer and time entries;
  • team reports and their CSV exports;
  • notifications, the team and its members, and the activity record of what was done;
  • the files on cards, projects, contacts and events, by name and size (it cannot open them);
  • Trash, to bring deleted things back;
  • and Mail, once it is switched on for your account: your mail accounts, threads, bills to pay, and drafting, sending and answering mail.

With the connector, you can ask your AI app to plan your week from your calendar and the cards that are due, add and move cards, tick off checklist items, log or fix time, add a contact or a project, report hours by project or contact, go through your notifications, or find the bills due this week. It reads and changes your BlueCheck data only through the tools listed below.

When your AI app draws something from your BlueCheck data, such as a chart, a report page or a dashboard, BlueCheck asks it to use BlueCheck's own look: the navy header, white cards, royal blue and the Marcellus and Albert Sans fonts. A plain chat answer stays plain.

The rules an AI agent follows in BlueCheck, such as asking before it changes something, are in BlueCheck for AI agents.

What you need

  • A BlueCheck account at app.bluecheck.tech on the Team plan, or in its free trial. New accounts start with a 30-day free trial of Team. On Basic, or without an active trial or subscription, Claude can only tell you why the account's data is locked.
  • A Claude account that can add custom connectors, or another AI app that connects to MCP servers (see Other AI apps). On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your Claude organization adds the connector first.
  • Your BlueCheck team level decides what Claude can do. Owners, admins, managers and members can read and change data. Viewers can read, and change only their own stars, watches, timer and notifications, and the mail in a mailbox of their own that is not the team's. Claude sees only the BlueCheck apps your team access includes. It loses its tools for an app you turn off in Settings > Apps, though Trash, notifications, files and time entries can still show items from that app. The change reaches Claude within a minute, get_workspace and search leave the app out, and turning it back on brings its tools back. An app that is not released yet has no tools at all.

Connect Claude

The quickest way is Connect your AI: its Add BlueCheck to Claude button opens Claude's Add custom connector with BlueCheck filled in. The same page has the steps for ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and other AI apps. They all work the same way: the app registers itself with BlueCheck, and you sign in and choose Authorize.

To add BlueCheck to Claude yourself, you need only the server URL:

Server URLhttps://app.bluecheck.tech/api/mcp

  1. In Claude, open Customize > Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Enter BlueCheck as the name and the server URL above as the URL. Leave Advanced settings empty, then add the connector.
  3. Choose Connect next to BlueCheck. Claude opens a BlueCheck page in your browser.
  4. Sign in if BlueCheck asks you to, check the account shown after Signed in as, and choose Authorize. You go back to Claude.
  5. Start a chat and ask Claude about your BlueCheck work.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the custom connector for the whole organization in Claude's organization settings. Each person then chooses Connect and signs in with their own BlueCheck account.

The sign-in and Authorize pages

You always sign in on BlueCheck's own site, app.bluecheck.tech, never inside Claude. Claude never sees your password.

  • If you are not signed in to BlueCheck in that browser, the first page says Connect to BlueCheck and has one button, Authorize. It opens the BlueCheck sign-in window. Sign in the way you usually do, with your 2-Step code if you use one, and you come straight back.
  • The next page says Connect Claude. It shows the BlueCheck account you are signed in as and what Claude will be able to do. Choose Authorize to connect, or Deny if you did not start this. Deny shares nothing.
  • If you approved Claude before with the same BlueCheck account, BlueCheck skips this page and sends you straight back to Claude.
  • AI apps register themselves with BlueCheck, so the page checks the name against where the connection goes back to. When an app you connect is not a well-known AI app, the page says it added itself to BlueCheck and BlueCheck has not checked it. When an app uses a name such as Claude or ChatGPT but would send your access to another site, the page says Do not connect this app and offers only Go back.

Other AI apps

Any AI app that connects to MCP servers over HTTP and signs in with OAuth can use the connector. It registers itself with BlueCheck the first time, so it needs only the server URL. You still sign in on BlueCheck's own site and choose Authorize. The Authorize page shows the app's name and the website it sends you back to: check both before you approve, because an app picks its own name.

Connect your AI has the steps for each app: ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and any other app that takes a remote MCP server. Cursor and VS Code get a button that adds BlueCheck for you, and Claude Code and Codex get a message to paste that sets it up.

We test the connector with Claude, and the sign-in other apps use when they register themselves. If an app cannot connect, email support@bluecheck.tech with the app's name and the message it shows.

What another app gets

The same as Claude: the tools listed below, with your access and never more. The company that makes the app receives what its requests return, under its own terms and privacy policy. To disconnect, remove BlueCheck from the app's MCP servers or connectors.

What Claude can do

Claude gets the same access you have in BlueCheck and never more. It sees only the apps your team access includes, and it loses its tools for an app you turn off in Settings > Apps, though Trash, notifications, files and time entries can still show items from that app. A viewer gets the read tools plus the ones that touch only their own stars, watches, timer and notifications, plan_route for their own day, and the Mail tools, which change mail only in a mailbox of their own that is not the team's. It cannot change billing, invite or remove people, change anyone's team access, or delete anything for good, and it never reaches the owner console. It can list and rename files on a record, but it cannot remove them (removed files cannot be restored from Trash yet) or open files, voice notes or photos.

Card descriptions, comments, and project, contact and calendar notes go both ways as Markdown, so Claude reads and writes their headings, lists, checklists, bold text and links. Underlines, text alignment and @mentions come through as plain text.

Mail

Mail is not released yet. Its tools appear only once Mail is released for your account and you switch it on in Settings > Apps. Then Claude can read, sort and answer the mail in the mailboxes you are a member of, the same ones you see in Mail. Connect a mailbox in Mail first: until then, Claude finds no mail accounts.

Claude reads messages as plain text, as Mail shows them: the 10 newest of a thread, without text the sender hid from view, and only the names and sizes of attachments. It cannot open attachments or pictures. Mail comes from people outside your team, so BlueCheck tells Claude to treat it as information, never as instructions.

Claude asks you before it drafts, sends or answers a message, moves mail or marks a bill paid. Everyone a message goes to is in the request you approve: a reply that would go to anyone but the sender, such as a Reply-To address or everyone on the message, needs Claude to name them first, so check who it goes to before you approve. A message goes to at most 50 people in To, Cc and Bcc together. Mail goes out about 5 seconds after Claude sends it, only from one of your own addresses, with the signature you set for that address. A reply goes out from the address the message was sent to, as in Mail. BlueCheck refuses an address that is not yours, recipients who bounced or reported spam, and mail past the mailbox's daily limit. A sent message cannot be called back; one scheduled for later waits in Mail's Scheduled, where you can stop it. Mail moved to Trash stays there for 30 days.

A viewer on your team reads the team's mailboxes but cannot send from them or change their mail. A viewer can still sort team mail into their own categories and mark their own bills paid, and works fully in a mailbox of their own that is not the team's.

There is no sample mail to try. With a mailbox connected, ask Claude which bills are due this week, to sum up the unread mail from a contact, or to draft a reply to the newest message in a thread for you to check in Drafts.

Try these

These prompts work on BlueCheck's sample account, Weiss Home Services, a small contractor. In your own account, use your own boards, projects and contacts.

  • "What's overdue on my Jobs this month board?"
  • "Find the contact Chaim Stern and give me his phone number and his projects."
  • "On the Jobs this month board, tick off Hose test on the Stern skylight card and move the card to Done."
  • "Log 2 hours today on the Cohen roof replacement project with the note Ridge vent."
  • "How many billable hours did we log on each project last month, and what do they come to?"
  • "Add a card called Order ladder hooks to the To do list on the Office board, due Friday."
  • "Start my timer on the Katz porch rebuild project." Later: "Stop my timer."
  • "Delete the Lawn signs card on the Marketing board, then show me Trash and put the card back."

Deleting and undoing

When Claude deletes a board, a list, a card, a project, a contact, a calendar event or a time entry, it goes to Settings > Trash with whatever goes along with it, the same as when you delete it yourself. Ask Claude to put it back, or restore it yourself in Settings > Trash. Things stay in Trash for 30 days, then a nightly job deletes them for good.

Two things are deleted for good right away and never go to Trash:

  • Checklist items that Claude removes from a card.
  • Timer runs shorter than a minute. If Claude stops your timer less than a minute after it started, BlueCheck does not keep that run.

Changes are not kept in Trash. If Claude changes a card, a calendar event or a time entry and you want the old version back, change it back yourself or ask Claude to.

Claude can restore what you could restore yourself: things you deleted, or anything in your team's Trash if you are an owner, admin or manager. It cannot empty Trash or delete anything forever from it.

Your data

Claude receives what each tool returns, such as project details, contact details, card text and comments, mail you ask it to read, and your teammates' names. Anthropic handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy, and it may stay in your chat history.

BlueCheck does not receive your conversation with Claude. Each request carries only what that task needs, such as words to search for or the text of a card to create.

Each time Claude uses a tool, BlueCheck's server writes one log line with the tool used, whether it worked, how long it took, your user id and the app's id, plus the technical error if something failed on our side. It does not log what you asked for or what it sent back. Our hosting provider keeps these logs for a short time.

Text in BlueCheck, such as card descriptions and comments, can be written by anyone on a shared board, and events copied from Google Calendar carry the text of whoever invited you. BlueCheck tells Claude to treat it as information, not as instructions. Check what Claude plans to change before you approve it.

Our privacy policy has the full details.

Disconnect

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, choose BlueCheck, and disconnect or remove it. Claude then stops sending requests to BlueCheck. Nothing in your BlueCheck account changes.

BlueCheck keeps its record that you approved Claude, so if you connect again later you may not see the Authorize page. To have us delete that record and end Claude's access on our side too, email support@bluecheck.tech. Deleting your BlueCheck account ends every connection.

Troubleshooting

This request expired
Connection requests last a few minutes. Go back to Claude and choose Connect again.
This link is incomplete
The page opened without its connection request. Go back to Claude and choose Connect again.
This request did not load
Try again from Claude. If it keeps happening, email support@bluecheck.tech with the text shown under the message.
Connected to the wrong account
Disconnect BlueCheck in Claude and sign out at app.bluecheck.tech. Then connect again, sign in with the right account, and check the Signed in as line before you choose Authorize.
Basic plan
Claude says connecting an AI app is part of the Team plan. The account owner can switch to Team in Settings > Billing at app.bluecheck.tech. Wait a minute, then start a new chat.
No active trial or subscription
Claude says the account's data is locked. The account owner can subscribe in Settings > Billing at app.bluecheck.tech. Wait a minute, then start a new chat.
Your team level is viewer
Viewers can read, and change only their own stars, watches, timer and notifications, and the mail in a mailbox of their own that is not the team's. In a team mailbox BlueCheck answers view only. An owner or admin can change your level in Settings > Team.
Your team access does not include that app
An owner or admin can add the app to your access in Settings > Team.
A tool is missing
After a change to your plan or access, wait a minute and start a new chat. If the tool is still missing, disconnect and connect again.
Dates are a day off
BlueCheck uses New York time unless Claude sends your time zone. Tell Claude your time zone.
